Golf Course Superintendent

Hardisty Lakeview Golf Course is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent for the 2023 golf season. This person will report directly to the Board of Directors and be responsible for the care of a 9-hole golf course, driving range, 24-site campsite, and all related equipment and facilities. The Golf Course Superintendent will work alongside the Clubhouse Manager to ensure the Hardisty Lakeview Golf Course facility remains an enjoyable destination for golfers across Alberta.

Responsibilities and Required Skills

• Maintain all grounds including the golf course, clubhouse surrounds, driving range, and campsite.

• Maintain all equipment including mowers, tractor, work carts, hand tools, and rental carts.

• Train and supervise staff in the safe operation of all machinery.

• Create, manage, and execute a schedule for ground care including mowing, fertilizing, and herbicide application.

• Operate and maintain irrigation systems, water wells, pumps, and automated controls.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

• Possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License

• Pesticide applicators licence is an asset.

• Knowledge of the safe operation of motorized equipment.

• Knowledge of the principles to safely operate gasoline and diesel engines.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to follow oral and written directions in a timely and efficient manner.

• Positive attitude and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
